Watch PUP’s Stefan Babcock Relive Some of His Gnarliest Camping Stories In New “Sibling Rivalry” Video

Whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em, we all have our own personal stories about growing up with older or younger siblings. Unless you’re an only child, we can almost guarantee you’ve already thought of at least two separate stories about sneaking out of the house with your brother or maybe even trying to raft down a sewage creek with your sister – you know, just like PUP’s Stefan Babcock used to do growing up.

Telling this exact tale of a river rafting experience gone wrong plus other gnarly camping stories for PUP’s new “Sibling Rivalry” music video, Babcock says the motivation behind the new animated clip was to simply highlight some of the crazy things he and his sister used to do.

“My sister and I go on pretty wild camping trips every year,” Babcock explains. “Each year they get crazier and crazier because we’re constantly trying to out-dumb one another. This song is about a couple of those trips. In order to tell some of these very stupid stories, I’ve started drawing really shitty comics. I draw like a 5-year-old, but I love doing it. There’s something liberating about diving headfirst into something you know is going to turn out like absolute trash. Luckily for me, my pal Marty is really creative and incredibly good at animation, and he really helped bring these stories to life in this video.”
