Look, we’ll be honest with you. When it comes to future dystopian societies lead by totalitarian leaders – you know, like in George Orwell’s 1984 – our knowledge is pretty slim. For that reason, we will defer all Orwellian thoughts to bands like post-hardcore newcomers Hostile Array, especially when it comes to their hard-hitting single “Newspeak” which The Noise is ecstatic to be premiering the music video for today.

“’Newspeak’” is a reference to George Orwell’s 1984,” explains vocalist Brendan Frey. “In the novel, Newspeak is a language created for the sake of political propaganda. I wrote this [song] from a first-person perspective of an individual struggling to make sense of reality despite the indoctrination and propaganda that is forced on us by our mainstream media and political figures.”

Yeah, see, we told you they knew what was up.

Anyway, to check out Hostile Array’s killer new video for their track ”Newspeak,” be sure to look below. Afterward, make sure to pick up a copy of the band’s debut self-titled LP here.
