Noise Exclusive: Russian Metalcore Act Wildways Return With Anthemic New Single “Self Riot”

Coming a long way from their 2016 Attila-like video for “Faka Faka Yeah” which saw them performing with a copious amount of half-naked twerkers, Russian metalcore act Wildways are back to showcase their refined and much more mature sound for their upcoming sophomore album.

Titled as Day X, the quintet’s new 12-track record, which was previously released in Russia earlier this year and will hit stores worldwide September 14th, is an exploratory look into Judgement Day.

“We are so excited to be releasing Day X to the world,” says vocalist Toli Borisov. “We released this album earlier this year, exclusively to Russia, which had great success! Each song off the album is part of the overall album storyline about doomsday. We hope for every listener to follow along.”

To give fans a look into what their new end-of-the-world material sounds like, today Wildways has teamed up with The Noise to premiere their powerful new track “Self Riot.”

When asked about the infectious hard-hitting single, Borisov says: “‘Self Riot’ is the second track off the album and is still in the early phases of the [doomsday] story. The song is about questioning if the world is actually ending or if we are all just paranoid.”
