We’ll be the first ones to admit: This COVID-19 crisis has been mentally draining in more ways than one. If over the past 12 months you’ve felt discouraged or lacked the desire to chase your dreams, you’re not alone.

Putting this concept into song, even before the pandemic began, is Scottish pop-punk act WRTHLESS via their honest new single “Dislike.”

Elaborating on the emotional new track, vocalist Jordan Daly notes, “‘Dislike’ is one of the first songs we had written before COVID and it was also one of the first songs we had written with Connor after he joined the band.”

Daly adds, “It has a lot more hard-hitting and personal themes that we don’t usually go into. It comes from a place of low self-esteem and just not caring about yourself. Waiting for opportunities to arise rather than going out to create them for yourself. This is something we feel everyone goes through a lot more than people care to admit.”
