Silverstein Share Driving New Single “Madness” Featuring Princess Nokia

With their ninth full-length album A Beautiful Place To Drown set to hit stores this Friday, post-hardcore vets Silverstein have just dropped a sensational new single with an unlikely guest feature.

Following the release of “Burn It Down” featuring Caleb Shomo, “Infinite” featuring Aaron Gillespie and “Bad Habits” featuring Intervals, today Silverstein has shared “Madness” featuring emerging emcee Princess Nokia.

Talking about the unexpected pairing with Princess Nokia, frontman Shane Told told The Noise, “She’s a huge fan of our band. We met her in New York City. She came out to our show and she was just so lovely and after she came, I became more familiar with her music and her style and everything that she does. So when we were putting together ‘Madness,’ the track she’s on, we just thought having a female voice would be so great. And with the style of the song and the tempo we were like, ‘She’d be perfect!’ Luckily, she was into it so that was great.”

As for Princess Nokia, she told Nylon Magzine, “Working on this record was really special to me because I’ve been a fan of this band since I discovered their first two albums. Silverstein holds a special place in my heart. Their first two albums were the soundtrack to my adolescence. They later were an inspiration in the making of my record a girl cried red. Through the release of that record came the introduction of the band when they invited me to their show in New York. Being asked to be a feature in this album was nothing short of amazing. I appreciate the guys for the opportunity and for wanting to include me in this era of their work. It’s been a really full-circle experience and I cherish it dearly.”
