Photo Review: We Spent 4/20 with Limp Bizkit, Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive & More

When you think about 4/20, generally, metal music isn’t what comes to mind. Usually when people want to celebrate the highest day of the year, for the most part, they’d rather listen to chilled-out, mellow music like the calming and relaxing sounds of Bob Marley.

Not us.

This past April 20th, we spent the national weed-smoking holiday with some true heavy hitters like Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, P.O.D., DED and, the one and only, Limp Bizkit.

That’s right, for Snoop Dogg’s favorite day of the year, we rolled out to Mesa, Arizona’s UFEST and got our “Break Stuff” on with Fred Durst, Wes Borland and company. While the day was pretty much a blur (you can probably guess why), what we can tell you is that a majority of it was spent headbanging and moshing through giant clouds of smoke while also anticipating Limp Bizkit’s epic performance of 1999 hits such as “Nookie” and “N 2 Gether Now.”

For a glimpse into the day a lot of stoned showgoers will probably think they made up in their head, be sure to check out some photos from Noise contributor Julius Aguilar below. Afterward, make sure to grab tickets to see both Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive out on tour together here.
