Very rarely does the best tour of the year happen in February. Generally, bands save their big guns for spring, summer or fall – you know, not early in the year when weather conditions are so treacherous fans and bands might not be able to make it to certain shows.

However, this year, August Burns Red constructed an insanely jam-packed winter tour featuring hard-hitting veterans and a soon-to-be breakout band resulting in one of the best metalcore packages in recent memory.

Dubbed The Dangerous Tour (either because of the weather or the countless amount of brutal breakdowns on this trek), August Burns Red is currently traveling the US in support of their latest Phantom Sessions EP alongside the pit-inducing Fit For A King, Miss May I and, for the first ever time in the US, Crystal Lake.

Now if that combination of bands isn’t something that immediately screams heavy in-your-face fun (you’ll see what we mean), then you’re in for a learning lesson today.

Below are 70-plus photos from Noise contributors Amanda Canton and Yeshua Flores displaying the ruthlessness and utter insanity that takes place on a nightly basis during August Burns Red’s headliner. Check out the photos below and afterward be sure to grab tickets to the remaining tour dates here.
