Less than a year after selling out venues all across the US with Taking Back Sunday and The Story So Far, you’d think it’d be challenging for Coheed and Cambria to duplicate 2018’s massive summer experience.
Come 2019, not only has the progressive rock outfit duplicated their previous results but they’ve also surpassed them thanks in part to their brand new album The Unheavenly Creatures as well as their seasoned support acts Mastodon and Every Time I Die.
Coming together for The Unheavenly Skye Tour – which saw Coheed perform music new and old, Mastodon celebrate 10 years of their beloved Crack The Skye record and Every Time I Die rearrange people’s faces with their brutal opening set – the three rock and metal vets took their unique brands of musicianship and combined them to create one of this year’s biggest and best tours.
For a look inside the massive summer trek which played the likes of Petco Park (yes, where the San Diego Padres play) and the historic 5,800 capacity Greek Theater, be sure to check out photos from Noise contributors Kyle Dehn and Julius Aguilar below.
