Continuing to hype up the release of their forthcoming album You’re Not You Anymore, Canadian crew Counterparts have just dropped their second new single “No Servant Of Mine.”

Following the sounds of their previously released track “Bouquet” and keeping the Tragedy Will Find Us vibes going, Counterparts continue to hone in on their melodic hardcore roots with their newest track.

In regards to the lyrical meaning behind the song, frontman Brendan Murphy explains, “‘No Servant‘ is about relationships failing whether they be romantic, platonic or business oriented. One way or another, the connection between two or more people is gone and we have to carry on knowing that it may be for the better. The song is my way of saying ‘If you no longer care, then go. You don’t need to stay because you owe me nothing.’”

To check out “No Servant Of Mine,” be sure to look below. Afterwards, make sure to pre-order You’re Not You Anymore before it hits stores September 22nd and grab tickets to see Counterparts out on the Vans Warped Tour all summer long.
