Sumerian Records act In Motive surprised fans with a new track “Subtle Mistakes” and accompanying music video. With this single, the band also revealed the unexpected addition of their new vocalist, ex-Crown The Empire member David Escamilla.

Escamilla joins longtime Sumerian Records artists Lee McKinney (Born Of Osiris), guitarist Nick Rossi (Born of Osiris) and drummer Conor White (ex-City in the Sea). Talking about the new line-up, McKinney commented:

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Dave to the In Motive family. Although it’s been quiet, we’ve been working hard on making these positive changes and wanted the finished product to be something we were proud of. We want to thank everyone that has followed the band for your patience lately, and hope you enjoy ‘Subtle Mistakes.’”

“Subtle Mistakes” incorporates staple elements from the band’s previous music while adding Escamilla’s characteristically powerful and expressive vocals. The accompanying video, directed by Jude Aotik, is a striking visual representation of the pain and rage that so often comes with broken relationships.
