Holy Shit: Seahaven Announce Long-Awaited Return, Share “Moon” From Upcoming LP ‘Halo Of Hurt’

Great news everybody: For the first time since 2014’s Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only Torrence, CA act Seahaven will be releasing brand new music.

That’s right, the influential, chilled-out band will be making their long-awaited return with a new full-length album. Titled Halo of Hurt, the new nine-track effort is set to hits stores November 20th via Pure Noise Records.

Commenting on the highly anticipated release, vocalist Kyle Soto said, “In Halo of Hurt, there’s some underlying anxiety from coming up short after 2014. I wanted to bring it back to the beginning of the band – a revived version of our younger selves in my garage in 2009. No timelines, no pressure. No need to fit a certain mold.”

As for what inspired their return to music, Soto admits the Seahaven listeners had a big part to do with it. “Fans being inquisitive, hoping and wishing: ‘Is there a new release? I thought you guys went and did a record in Costa Rica?’ They never fizzled out” he said. “We knew people still cared.”
