Ahead of their upcoming US tour together, pop-punk stars Simple Plan, State Champs and We Kings have come together to release a brand new collaborative single.
Featuring all three bands writing and performing together, the new track – which serves as Simple Plan’s first in over three years – is titled “Where I Belong.”
Discussing the idea behind the new collaborative track, Simple Plan said, “We’re extremely excited about our upcoming tour with our friends State Champs and We The Kings and we wanted to find a way to make these shows even more special and memorable for our fans. That’s how we came up with the idea of releasing brand new music and our first new song in over three years, just a few weeks ahead of the first date of the tour.”
The band went on to add, “This song is a celebration of three bands coming together, collaborating and doing something unique for the pure love of music. It’s back-to-basics, in-your-face, full of energy and fun with heartfelt lyrics; exactly what our three bands love and stand for. We wrote the song imagining ourselves playing it on stage and having our fans singing along with us at the top of their lungs.”
Lastly, Simple Plan commented, “Going to shows, whether we’re playing them or just standing in the crowd, is where we belong and we can’t wait to perform this song with State Champs and We The Kings every single night on this tour! We hope our fans will enjoy it.”
