Grab Your Tissues And Watch Yellowcard’s Final Music Video

After a twenty-year run, Yellowcard is saying its final goodbyes in the form of an emotional music video for their song “A Place We Set Afire.” The track is lifted from Yellowcard’s self-titled album, released last September via Hopeless Records. The group just wrapped a colossal world tour to support the album, which is their tenth and final release as a unified band. The tour ended at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA on March 25.

Whether your Yellowcard knowledge is limited to blasting “Ocean Avenue” on repeat in the early 2000s or you’re a die-hard fan, the video’s heartfelt moments are sure to leave you teary-eyed. It begins with a spoken portion by lead singer Ryan Key, who expresses his gratitude toward Yellowcard’s loyal fan base before jamming out one last time. The music video captures the essence of a Yellowcard show, following a fan’s journey to the venue from start to finish.

Key says in a press release about the video, “We are happy to finally release our last music video. We chose ‘A Place We Set Afire’ because the song was inspired by and written for you. We are so grateful to one of our biggest fans and friend, Chris Lawrence, for donating his time and passion for Yellowcard to this video. We hope that you enjoy this final farewell piece. Thank you all for everything.”

Sending it right back to you, Yellowcard. Thank you so much for sharing your music with the world! To check out the video, see below.
