Well, just when you thought My Chemical Romance and Rage Against The Machine were the only bands gearing up for a big return in 2020 think again.

After bumming fans out all across the world by saying their last show of 2018 was “the last show we’ll ever do,” UK goth punks Creeper have emerged from their brief hiatus to release new music and announce new tour dates.

That’s right! Coming via the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show hosted by Daniel P Carter, Creeper has premiered their ghostly new song “Born Cold.”

Talking about the new track, frontman Will Gould says, “This song is the introduction of one of the more villainous characters from our new story,” says Gould. “It was inspired by what the Thin White Duke was for David Bowie – a more selfish, narcissistic character.”

Gould went on to add, “Creeper was always about theatrics and cinema; as much about the aesthetic as the music. So we took it to Hollywood and made it in the shadow of some of our favourite films, where some classic records have been made and let it become something else. In ‘Born Cold’, you can hear the DNA of the band and listen to it be transformed with the addition of some of the new elements that we’ve added to the process.”
