Weezer Announce New Album, Tour and Single “King of the World”

Holy Weezer! Talk about a way to kick off 2016. Coming out of completely nowhere, the much beloved nerd rock aficionados have just dropped a bombshell of announcements including a summer co-headlining tour, a brand new self-titled album and a new Scantron (Fall Out Boy, New Politics, Panic! At The Disco) directed music video.

So, where do we begin? Coming this April, Weezer will be releasing their tenth studio album dubbed as The White Album – following suite with their previously released Blue, Green and Red LPs. The new record will hit stores April 1 and will be released via Crush Music.

Along with the report of a new album, and in order to help to hold fans over until the release, Weezer has also put out a brand new music video (see below) for their track “King Of The World” – which, if you’re keeping count, marks the band’s third new single to be released this year (”Do You Wanna Get High,” “Thank God For Girls”).

In addition to the exciting news surrounding Weezer’s soon-to-be released music, things didn’t stop there as the band also revealed they’ll be hitting the road this summer alongside Panic! At The Disco and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The tour will kick off in June and will run all the way until the start of August. Exclusive pre-sale tickets will be available January 19 while general admission tickets will go on sale January 22. For tour dates and locations, be sure to look below.
