Noise Exclusive: My Own Will Debut Destructive New Single “Disgust” Dedicated To Fake Father Figures

For a lot of people, the third Sunday in June doesn’t really mean much. Generally spent as a day to thank and appreciate all the dedicated dads across the world, for some, the idea of Father’s Day disgusts them to their core.

Bringing attention to this matter and calling out all the fake father figures and deadbeat dads, Detriot heavy-hitters My Own Will are teaming up with The Noise to premiere their merciless new single “Disgust.”

“The song ‘Disgust’ is a highly personal track discussing a deteriorated relationship between father and son,” explains the band. “It is told from the perspective of the son, whose father is idealistic and morally unjust, trying to find his identity despite lacking a solid father figure.”

“For the video,” the band added, “we wanted to emphasize the general idea that these ‘fathers’ or ‘role models’ are not always what they seem. They portray themselves in a certain light, when in reality, what’s beneath the surface is vastly different.”

To coincide with the devastating new single and music video, which you can check out below, My Own Will have some uplifting news to share revealing that they have officially signed with upstart label Death Toll Records.

“We are extremely excited to announce our signing to Death Toll Records,” shared the band. “They have been a pleasure to work with so far, and we are humbled they asked us to be a part of laying the foundation for Death Toll. We are planning a tour around the release of the Disgust EP, which will be announced in the coming weeks. We want to thank everyone who has been a part of the success of My Own Will so far and we couldn’t be any more excited for the future.”
