New Years Day Release Post-Apocalyptic Video for “I’m About To Break You”

In support of their latest album Malevolence – and to show their love for the Mad Max franchise – So-Cal rock outfit New Years Day has released an intense post-apocalyptic video for their track “I’m About To Break You.”

Not quite taken to the extreme of 2pac and Dr. Dre’s video for “California Love” (yes, we just referenced a 1996 2pac video and feel very old in doing so), the clip for “I’m About To Break You” is a revolutionary tale lead by frontwomen Ash Costello.

“We are big fans of Mad Max and have always wanted to make a post-apocalyptic style video,” explains Costello. “The location we filmed at was a few hours away from Los Angeles where they put on a festival every year called ‘Wasteland Weekend’ that is dedicated to the post-apocalyptic lifestyle. We had a blast making props and riding around in those amazing cars. Having fans and friends join us as extras made it icing on the cake."
