Look, we don’t know about you but we think songs with 15-word titles are pretty neat – especially when the song with the lengthy title is from Mayday Parade and written about Derrek Sanders’ frustration for our embarrassing Cheeto In Charge, Donald Trump.

Let us explain.

Taken from their forthcoming album Sunnyland, Mayday Parade have just shared a brand new song titled – get ready – “It’s Hard To Be Religious When Certain People Are Never Incinerated By Bolts Of Lightning.”

“I wrote this song shortly after the 2016 presidential election when Trump won,” explains Sanders. “I was just kind of horrified something like that was even possible – not that it’s all directed towards him, necessarily, but that’s kind of the mindset I was in."

Sanders adds, ”[The song’s] not all dark. There is, at least to me, a hopeful outlook towards the future and trying to appreciate what we do have. It’s not all angry.“
