If This New Amon Amarth Song Doesn’t Make You Want To Fight In A Viking War You’re Probably Dead Inside

If you’ve been feeling pretty low this week and in search of the ultimate pick-me-up, former Noise Presents headliners Amon Amarth are currently offering up a dose of the world’s best medicine – you know, a kickass metal track that will 100% make you want to fight in Viking warfare.

Titled as “Raven’s Flight,” Amon Amarth’s lead single from their long-awaited  LP Berserker is a straight up battle anthem from beginning to end. Like a Norse spear to your backside, “Raven’s Flight” is perfect for anyone looking to get their ass out of bed and into mythological combat.

Opening up about the sound of “Raven’s Flight” and their first new album since 2016′s Jomsviking, vocalist Johan Hegg commented: “For me, this is Amon Amarth 2.0. I think what we’ve done here is give ourselves the space to explore other parts of our musicality and who we are as a band. If you’re content with where you’re at, what’s the point of continuing? We always want to come up with new ideas and find new ways of doing things and to create bigger and better shows and really try to improve every aspect of what the band is.”

Hegg went on to add, “We want to try to keep growing and to do this for as long as we have the possibility to do so, because this is the best fucking job in the world.”
