In the midst of a very busy 2014 for New Found Glory’s guitarist Chad Gilbert (new NFG record, getting engaged to Paramore’s Hayley Williams), it looks like Gilbert somehow had time to write and record a brand new What’s Eating Gilbert album.
Titled as That New Sound You’re Looking For, Gilbert’s first full-length with What’s Eating Gilbert will hit stores July 10 via Hopeless Records.
When asked about the new album and signing to Hopeless Records, Gilbert let fans know he’s thrilled to finally get this album out for everyone to hear.
“I’m excited to announce that it is finally time for me to release the first full length What’s Eating Gilbert album, That New Sound You’re Looking For, on July 10th! I say finally because I actually recorded these 12 songs in January of 2014!” Gilbert continued to add, “Why have I waited so long to release it? Well as most of you know I play guitar in New Found Glory who have had an action packed last year and a half. Once Hopeless Records told me they wanted to release this album, we both decided it was best to release it at a time when I could actually go out and play it for you!”
For those looking forward to the new release, the first single as well as album pre-orders will be available June 2.
