Saturday on idobi Radio, we’re extremely excited to announce we’ll be airing our exclusive interview with Underoath drummer/co-vocalist Aaron Gillespie.

Talking with the scene veteran – whose been making music for almost twenty years now – about the music industry as a whole and how it’s changed in his eyes, Gillespie let us in on his thoughts saying, “These days it’s more about bands and artists building brands. You know when I was a kid – Underoath, we started kinda being a garage band in the late 90′s – and it wasn’t about how you looked or, like you know, what your ‘brand’ was. It was about how good you were at your instruments and how good your songs were.”

Gillespie continued to add, “And these days, especially in the scene we kind of came up in, it’s really not about your songs anymore. It’s about how cute your singer is.”

To hear the multi-talented musician discuss more on the industry, his recent reunion with Underoath as well as his latest solo album Out Of The Badlands, be sure to tune into idobi.com/radio from 4-5pm PST // 7-8pm EST this Saturday.

Until then, make sure to check out Gillespie’s latest single “You Don’t Love Me Anymore” below and pick up a copy of Out Of The Badlands here. Also, if you don’t have tickets to see Underoath on their remaining 2016 dates at Riot Fest and Chain Fest, head here.
