Equal Vision Newcomers Household Announce New Album, Share Lead Single “Don’t Listen To Me”

Once-hardcore-now-alt/emo outfit Household are gearing up for a pretty big 2018. Not only is the band hitting the road later this year with Senses Fail, Reggie And The Full Effect, and Have Mercy but the newly signed Equal Vision act will also be dropping their newest album Everything A River Should Be February 23rd.

“This is a pretty defining record for us,” admits vocalist/bassist Joshua Gilbert. “We’ve been a hardcore band for a while and this is our first transition into more of this rock/emo that we’re doing. Writing a record like this felt more true to who I am as an individual but also who our band is.”

In anticipation of their new album and to help show off their redefined musical direction, Household has also debuted their emotional lead single “Don’t Listen To Me.”

“The songs touch on some close-to-home feelings for me,” says Gilbert. “It’s much more of a personal expression of my own emotions – it’s not so much a declarative thing, as some of our music has been in the past. It’s more personal and vulnerable in a lot of ways.”
